Did you know?

The jack-o'-lantern tradition began with carved turnips in Ireland and Scotland, before pumpkins took over in North America.
The name comes from the folk tale of Stingy Jack, who tricked the devil and was left wandering with a coal in a carved-out turnip.
The word pumpkin comes from the Greek pepon, meaning a large melon.
